AMD introduced Ryzen PRO processors with a heat dissipation of less than 65W

AMD introduced the line of Ryzen PRO processors including the Ryzen 9 PRO 3900. There are only two differences from the older full brother: clock speed and heat dissipation. The 12-core Ryzen 9 PRO 3900 has a base core clock frequency of 3.1 GHz, core frequency in boost mode is 4.3 GHz. At the same time, the heat dissipation of the processor is only 65W.

The PRO line also includes processors such as the Ryzen 7 3700, Ryzen 5 3600, Ryzen 5 3400G, Ryzen 5 3400GE, Ryzen 3 3200G, Ryzen 3 3200GE and Athlon 300GE. All of them have the same characteristics as the full versions, except for the clock speed.

Both the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3400G and 3200G have a unique heat selection option in the BIOS settings. For example, if the cooling system does not cope, then using the BIOS you can limit consumption at the level of 45W.

Unfortunately, new processors will not work in retail, as the company plans to use them only in turnkey solutions. The announcement of the corresponding system units was made by HP and Lenovo.
