AMD may release the Radeon RX 5500 graphics card on October 7

Moreover, it is mentioned that along with the usual RX 5500 model, the RX 5500 XT will also be released, and GIGABYTE will become AMD's main partner for the XT version. It is reported that GIGABYTE has prepared about six versions of the video card, each of which is equipped with 8 GB of video memory.

In a separate news article, the portal also confirmed that the new product will work on the Navi graphic chip equipped with RDNA architecture and created using the 7nm process. It is reported that the usual RX 5500 model, like others, will receive 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory and a 128-bit bus. The WCCFTech portal, in turn, assumes that the new product (both the regular and the XT version) will have 22 RDNA processing units and, therefore, 1408 stream processors.

With such exemplary characteristics, it becomes clear that AMD is preparing to release a worthy successor to the Radeon RX 580, if not the RX 590, at a price of about $200-250, which should become the main competitor of many video cards from NVIDIA, in particular the GeForce GTX 1650 and GTX 1660 NVIDIA, in turn, urgently released the GTX 1650 Super and GTX 1660 Super.

Note that the new product from AMD is designed for modern AAA games in 1080p resolution and at high/ultra settings, or for competitive multiplayer games in 1080p resolution with a high frame rate.
